A week or so after the Police withdrew, on 3rd March 1999 I laid the same ‘inadequate evidence’ before The City of London (Lay) Magistrates Court, alleging, forgery, by Barclays Bank Plc and Andrew Buxton, the Bank's Chairman, the three Magistrates issued Summonses against both, which were returned on the 15th April 1999. [40] Chairman Magistrate, Sir Christopher Walford, ex-Alan & Overy Solicitors, granted the accused a whole day to hear an 'Abuse of Process' claim by the bank. [41] The Magistrate, Sir Christopher Walford subsequently admitted knowing the accused. I gave, as evidence, a video of Sir Christopher entertaining Andrew Buxton to lunch and making a prayer of thanks for money prior to the Hearing, which the Appeal judge refused to allow as evidence to the hearing and denied there was any bias. Andrew Buxton sold 87,000 of his shares in Barclays the week before he was due to appear before the Magistrates, no doubt to buy them back at a profit if/when the price fell because of the criminal allegations. The Stock Market refused to investigate my allegation of ‘insider’ dealing by Andrew Buxton. Bank directors employment contracts also had a clause added whereby their employee bank would hold them financially harmless if they were prosecuted for a criminal offence. |
