When I met Matthew Barrett, the new CoE of Barclays at their 2000 AGM, I presented him with a business card stating, “The meek shall inherit the earth ~ and then Barclays will repossess it”. Firstly he was amused then realised I meant it, he intervened and an agreement was reached between us, (without lawyers).
