I thought I was the only person suffering!

I wrote to Mr. Peter Burt, Chief Executive of the Bank of Scotland in November 2001 to express my disgust with the bank.

Every time I phoned the bank I could never get a sensible answer from anyone. It appears that if you want to sell your house you have to send them a cheque for the valuation, based on a percentage of the house value. How can you do that if you don't know what it's worth? They then told me the valuation could be added to my account - earning them even MORE money.

Bearing in mind that most people used part of their loan for home improvements the Bank of Scotland are on a win, win, win situation.
