Daylight Robbery!! My parents took out a shared appreciation mortgage with the BOS some years ago. My father died in December and when valuing his property we realised the full extent of the meaning of such a mortgage!! Briefly, the value of my parent's property at point of purchase (and the SAM) was Ł160,000. With the increase in value the actual amount owing to the bank should my mother wish to sell is a whopping Ł202,500. Daylight robbery!!!! My mother and I would really appreciate your advice and would be very interested in joining your support group. |
