Firstly - ‘Thankyou' for inaugurating the SAM action group and secondly ‘Thankyou' for such an excellent Website. Thirdly ‘Thankyou' again. In 1998 my partner and I took out a Ł75,000 BOS loan on a Ł300K valuation of our cottage. This did help us enormously with retirement / maintenace / life etc. and it wasn't until last year that we became aware that our property would probably now be valued at Ł500K+. I was gloomily philosophical about how little we would raise if we moved. Actually we have always thought that we would each stay here until The Big Move Out and then the Bank's obscene profit would not bother us but although I hadn't previously considered ourselves to be trapped, when we now ponder the prospect of moving we are certainly much limited. We have a love / worry feeling about the house made harder to rationalise because the cottage is so much envied by everyone. So having read about you last year and nodded in depressing agreement I put the situation to the back of my mind and carried on mowing. I can't remember why yesterday I typed SAMS into Google but suffice to say I'm very glad I did. (see para. 1). I am sending you my registration form and cheque and my fourth set of Thanks together with Best Wishes for successful progress. |
