Robert G. F. OwenElaine Williams

, lives in Heston, London. Elaine has waged a twelve year battle with Lloyds Bank, over a home to Elaine and her two children. After numerous mistakes by the Bank, various Court battles which she won, Elaine took a polygraph test (Lie Detector Test) and was half way to setting a legal precedent, as it was admitted to County Court in evidence. Lloyds bank however was awarded her home on a point of Law, which had nothing to do with the original case. She was evicted in 2002. She had already joined up with other victims of Bank abuse in 1999, when a member contacted after her appearance on BBC News.

Because of her varied past careers which include, Financial Agent, Director/ Partner in an Export Packing Company, Regional Manager for a Kitchen Design Co. and International Office Manager for the National Geographic Channel, Elaine involved her MP Alan Keen in her own case and from the knowledge gained and by talking to other officials, members and groups, instigated the formation of the current SAFE as the secretariat to an All Party Parliamentary Group Against Financial Exploitation. They gathered statistics, case histories, research, and affiliated with other groups, and formed a Company limited by guarantee, and an operating committee from the various organisations with similar problems, which now with assistance has now built a valuable database, which proves beyond all doubt the need for SAFE.

Since the opening of the office several evictions have been avoided, and many hundreds have found valuable help and assistance.
