This was the same day the Directors of SAFE made presentations firstly in the Palace of Westminster to The Lord Hunt Review regarding the inadequacies of The Financial Services Ombudsman, and secondly; at a meeting with executives of the FSA in Portcullis House, where banking problems were brought to the table by SAFE.
The result is that SAFE has been asked to provide a report to The Lord Hunt Review setting out Safe’s recommendations in order to improve the effectiveness of the Financial Ombudsman Service. Similarly the meeting, organised by Alan Keen MP with the FSA has opened an on going dialogue which is likely to be mutually useful in the same way that it has previously with some of the Banks. |
