A Grieving widower faces being made homeless by banking giant HBoS in the latest -and worst- case of the shared appreciation mortgage scandal that has trapped thousands of elderly homeowners. They are widows or widowers of Sam borrowers where the loan was in the name of their spouse. When the spouse dies, the bank can move to repossess the property
